Msmarti76 0 Posted January 22, 2016 I'm hoping to have my gastric sleeve surgery next month. Im getting a lot of negative opinions from family members. They say try it the "healthy" way. To me, this is the healthy way. I'm under doctors care with all the tools I need. Does anyone else get negative feed back from family members? What do you say? SSW v2.0 1 Posted January 22, 2016 I'm hoping to have my gastric sleeve surgery next month. Im getting a lot of negative opinions from family members. They say try it the "healthy" way. To me, this is the healthy way. I'm under doctors care with all the tools I need. Does anyone else get negative feed back from family members? What do you say? Hello There! I have had some negative feedback as well and I just remind myself and those that question my motives regarding WLS--I have tried the natural way by counting calories and exercising may times and unfortunately regressed due to various reasons. I tell naysayers that I have tried and tried; however, the time has come to make a permanent change to end the yo-yo effect that I have been living for the past few years. It is their choice if they want to support you or not and ultimately, they will show you who really cares about your long term health. Stay the course and do what makes sense to you!
