Missy407 63 Posted January 21, 2016 Im 6 weeks post op. I reached down this morning and felt a disturbing lump. Im thinking cancer, cyst, Im scared to death. Upon further investigation I have an identical lump on the other side too. Feeling stupid but thrilled when I realize that I actually have hip bones! Its been so long since I felt them I forgot they were even there. Gastric sleeve is the BEST.
The Candidate 3,215 Posted January 21, 2016 If you have to find a lump, finding its twin on the other side is the best kind! Congrats on the emergence of your bones. That's a top notch NSV if ever there was one! ????
WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted January 21, 2016 I felt that way when I noticed my clavicle protruding.. I felt that way when I noticed my collarbone protruding. I still haven't decided which word I prefer. That didn't stop me, however, from doing that slight motion of raising my shoulders and moving them forward whenever I was in front of a mirror. I suppose it's an equivalent of making duck faces. Enjoy your lumps, @Missy407.

Sajijoma 1,324 Posted January 22, 2016 I just had that exact same experience with my collar bone! ???? I was like holy mother of God! What is this lump and then I saw it on the other side and after a bit of poking discovered that OMG! I can feel my collarbone! I cannot remember when was the last time I felt them!
