Today's win ... a co-worker just commented "Hey look at you sporting the thigh gap!"

I have a gap? BETWEEN my thighs?!??!?!

No ****

I went on a 4 day weekend girls trip and was so nervous about getting on the scale this morning only to find I am at my lowest weight. I thought for sure I'd be up a few and have to cut way back this week.

Happy Monday!

My win for today. I hit my GOAL this morning. Surgery last week of September 2014. Starting weight was 222. This morning stepped on scale for first time in a month. BAM! 124.8. Goal was 125. Weight I was when I got married 11 years ago.

A big congrats to all 3 of you!!! Great job!!

I know you are right. But I am actually a shy and sensitive guy and I don't want anyone to think I am bragging or being arrogant.

This speaks well of you, proof that you are a gentleman of fine breeding. Fine, I'll brag for you.

HELLO! HELLO! THIS IS MY RESPONSE TO WORKINONME -- I'm stuck here in the gray box with you. It's fitting, though, because my response is "That's quite a cozy workplace you've got there."

My family and I went for a 2.5 mile "hike". At the end they were all tired and saying how that was a lot of exercise and they deserved and needed a big dinner. They were saying how far we had all walked.

I was like, um... What walk? That was a leisurely stroll for me. I could have easily run that distance and barely been tired. I wasn't out of breath once! That was a tiny little bit of walking to me!!!

Hahahaha. Gosh amazing. I would barley have been able to do that without crying a little over a year ago. My legs would have been shaking.

Great thread! I

I've that every day can bring a new win! Today I am at 161. The last time I saw that on the scale was high school! I usually let myself rest from exercise over the weekend, today I found my self missing it! Never thought that could happen to me! Looking forward to doing some fun physical activities outdoors as the weather warms up. So great to hear everyone's accomplishments. Great job all!

I am blown away by all the responses. I hope all of you give yourselves a pat on the back. You have achieved all of this on your own.

My win for the day:

Owning who I am now. Feeling pretty damn good about myself.

ROFL!! It is a cozy workplace ... then again, I have worked with some of these people for 15+ years and if you know ANYTHING about the education field we aren't ones to hold things back. Definitely a "tell it like it is" group of friends here! :) Just glad that I was on the receiving end of something positive ... it goes both ways with that!!!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
