JenLyn81 7 Posted January 28, 2016 Like some of the women, I struggled with "to have surgery or to not have surgery." I have been contemplating surgery for over 10 years, probably close to. Do I think this will be a magical cure to my obesity? No. Do I think that my food cravings will go away? Possibly. Is this going to be an easy fix? Heck no it's not! I know that I didn't gain all this weight over night and it sure isn't going to come off over night. I truly believe that through God, prayer, and an amazing support system, I will be able to do great at this. Do I think I will be a size 2? No. Heck, I'd be happy at a size 14/16. If you go into this thinking you will be able to eat everything as before, just smaller portions, you are potentially setting yourself up for failure. I know that I won't be able to eat 1/2 of the food I currently fix. Not all the food I fix is unhealthy, my problem is Portion Control. I agree it is all how you set your mind to it. Yes, I may have a set back here or there, but you know what? I'm human. The next day is a new day and I will try again. We will all do great. We can't allow ourselves to think anything less. erathbone 2 Posted January 28, 2016 I don't have a date yet but I will be very close to then. I have my pre op appointment February 11th but I've already completed my blood work and stuff! Hoping for that first week in March.
