How long did it take after surgery to start seeing some weight loss?

I didn't weigh myself until the following week follow up at the doctors office. I had lost 13 lbs in the week following surgery.

today is exactly a week aft my surgery and I've lost 17 lbs. i saw immediate weight loss 3 days post op.

I didn't see much weightloss at the beginning post op. In my first month, I had lost maybe 15lbs total which was less than I was losing pre op on my own. It wasn't til the second month that things really got burning. At 2 1/2 months now, I'm down 58lbs since surgery.

I lost 0 pounds the whole first week after surgery. I was actually up 3 pounds after I was released from the hospital. The second week I lost 7 pounds. I'm now 3 weeks out, and down 15 lbs from surgery. 30 pounds overall from my starting weight.

Thanks all! Today is exactly one week from surgery and after leaving the hospital I actually gained weight...I was thinking 7 lbs of gas! I was miserable! But I've released all of that and down 2 lbs from pre surgery weight. I was just nervous something was wrong even though I'm following everything I'm supposed to be doing. Thanks for calming my nerves!!!

Once it starts coming off, it will be fast. I didn't see a change for 2 weeks due to gas and Water weight. AND I was still in the same clothes for the first 2 months. Now,10 months later, I'm down 130 pounds. Just be patient, it WILL happen! Good luck and congrats!
