Dilondon 0 Posted July 27, 2007 Hi there, I am due to have my band this Sunday and supposed to be on the milk diet but today have only sort of stuck to it. Did any one else not stick to it rigidly, I hope it doesn't put my op at risk. Loving this site by the way!
FarmerE 0 Posted July 27, 2007 Never heard of it. Only allowed milk? What are the rules?...maybe we can help.
Dilondon 0 Posted July 27, 2007 I have found other on the site that couldn't stand this diet either ! I can have 2 pints of semi skimmed milk and 1 yoghurt per day - and at least 2 litres of Water. It is too much I have headaches etc. and have today eaten McDonalds - really worried now. I am in the UK btw.
Doxielover 0 Posted July 27, 2007 McDonald's is in the past, you only have two days to go. Get your milk and yogurt down...and appreciate the fact that come Sunday, they never have to pass your lips again. YOU CAN DO THIS!
mylapspirit 2 Posted July 27, 2007 Try to add some sugar free Carnation Instant Breakfast to the skim milk. At least this will give you some added Protein and keep you more satisfied. I have to do this for 10 days preop but yours sounds so severe. My heart goes out to you!:ranger:
WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted July 29, 2007 Hi there, I am due to have my band this Sunday and supposed to be on the milk diet but today have only sort of stuck to it. Did any one else not stick to it rigidly, I hope it doesn't put my op at risk. Loving this site by the way! Just milk? Nothing else? How bizarre. I'm starting to understand why some people choose their docs according to the doc's pre/post-op diet!
gingersnap 11 Posted July 29, 2007 Just had the surgery on 7/23/07 and doctors orders were to not eat anything after midnight the day before surgery. I could have coffee, tea, apple juice, Water, etc up to two hours prior to surgery. Hope that helps...Good Luck!
