cclopes25 0 Posted January 19, 2016 I was wondering has anyone had the sleeve done that knows they have upper esophageal sphincter dysfunction, which means you can burp and build up gas that is let out through induced vomiting action or flatulence. I am wondering because its very uncomfortable after meals on your stomach and how would it be after surgery or surgery shouldn't be advised at all. After I eat I become very nauseated and have to stick my finger down my throat and gag in order to burp or i have to take simethecone (which doesn't always work). Please help because im worried it might cause complications after vsg surgery!
Stevehud 1,790 Posted January 19, 2016 You need to check with your surgeon, they will know quite well. also your barium swallow and other tests will show how well your esophagus works or doesnt.
