Amelie2016 116 Posted February 4, 2016 I've been sleeping finally, not home even 24 hours yet ... my schedule is waaaay off. I didn't sleep well in the hospital. Just woke up again. It's 2:30pm here. Readjusting will take ME a while, lol.
Pescador 1,374 Posted February 5, 2016 At 66 I was shopping four days after surgery, slowly walking the mall. Never needed pain meds after surgery, once I left the hospital. I know I was afraid of how I would feel, but it was wonderful!!! Much better than anticipated.
olgirl06 33 Posted February 8, 2016 I work on an orthopedic floor of a level one trauma hospital where there is super heavy lifting so my doctor said I would definitely have to be off work for six weeks. Got enough pto to cover it, so I'm going to take all six weeks happily.
Adtrx3 13 Posted February 8, 2016 I only needed a week off. (I wish I had taken longer because I commute from NJ to New York City... so that commute is what really took a toll on me...) but besides the commute I felt pretty okay at the office. I'm a receptionist so it's mostly desk work.

bevewhite 25 Posted February 10, 2016 I decided not to tell my employer that I am having surgery because I did not want to be subjected to judgement. I know that in time everyone will figure it out. I did not want the added stress prior to having the procedure done. I am going to take off 2 weeks
