Its been a little over a month and for the past week and half ive been back n forth from 219 to 222 i dont understand what im doing wrong. I walk on treadmill 3 times a week for 1 hour. Im beginning to think this surgery wasnt the best thing for me. :(

I was sleeved 12/10 and have been in a stall for 3 weeks. I understand your frustration. However, I did see my surgeon last Friday & he is not at all concerned. He says this is normal, so has many other members of this group. He says to just ride it out & continue doing what I am doing. I trust in him, this is his profession, he sees patients like us everyday. Hang in there and we will get through this.

You are likely in a stall, which happens and is normal. Your body is just adjusting. Stick to your plan and you will do fine!! Don't be discouraged.

Every person here has felt frustration and has experienced stalls. Just know that you are not alone. Refocus and try not to worry. I go through tough depression every November and December when my son died. I remember when I was sleeved I had some real crying and emotional times, Maybe it is hormonal. Look to the New Year and regroup. Best wishes. BTW I am over two years sleeved.

Stalls are normal from 2-6 weeks post surgery. You're not doing anything wrong except for focusing on the scale too much. Stay the course, drink your fluids and do your best to get your Protein in and you will get past the stall and continue to lose.

Have you tried the pre made Premeir Protein shakes? They taste pretty good and have 30 grams of Protein per serving. You can even get them at Wal Mart.

Oh, and no you won't stretch your sleeve but lay off the cake ;)

Thanks Babbs :)..i know those sweets were part of my bad eating habits before i got the sleeve and contribute to some of my weight gain.

Change is hard. Believe me, I understand! I cried the first week when my husband ate an Egg McMuffin in front of me! But the changes your are making now will all be worth it in a little while. Honest!

Most of us have gone through it. We understand! Just always keep in mind that what you're feeling now will not be what you're feeling weeks and even months down the road. The first like 4 weeks or so pretty much suck.

This too shall pass ;) Stay hydrated and get your Protein in so you can heal!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
