I have been away from the forums because i was real upset and mad at Aetna. I was delayed. I was to have surgery on 7/26 but it is now push to Aug 6th. So my 2 week diet is now a 3 1/2 week diet but if it all works out i'll be happy.

I have Aetna and am just starting the process... I know there are various types of coverage - so our policies may not be the same, but THE DID COVER LB SURGERY???

I have POS II and yes they do cover it but they make you run around like a mad man first

I don't know what "POS II" is... my card says "NAP" across the top...

I'm not looking forward to jumping through hoops, but once I actually get "on board" (following my 4 hr appt with the dr, nutritionist & psych), I plan to start "dieting," with the help of my "team."

I can do it on my own, but not forever. I'm hoping by the time my willpower gives out, the band will come to my rescue... that's my plan, anyway... this weight has to go sooner or later... if I have to wait for the band --- I'll FOCUS on the sooner...

I did the same thing and am not sorry. Once I met with my nutritionist, I started on a high Protein 1600 calorie diet and daily exercise. I went from 313 to 275-while waiting for my band. I think it was totally worth it, plus it helps you to establish new habits before you get your band. Good luck!

DITTO!!!! Establishing new habits is all this is about, so just think of it as a head start.
