I was always a 'wide' foot now im 'normal' plus i went from a 7 1/2 to a 6 sometimes 6 1/2. I didn't think about losing so much from my feet !!

For those of you who went down in shoe size dramatically, would you have considered your feet "fluffy" before?? I wouldn't have considered my feet to be fat before, but would love to be down from a 10w!

No I never thought my feet held much fat but I went from a 10 to an 8-8.5.

You've just totally excited me, making me realise I will be able to fit so many more shoes! I have wide feet but that should definitely change.

I have experienced this as well! I am only 2 months out and have lost about 50 lbs since surgery and have already noticed that all of my footwear is too big. I never considered my feet to be fat so I never thought they would get smaller....I guess it's a great excuse to go shoe shopping!

I'm curious if your feet had "grown" through your adulthood. I've been wearing the same size shoe since I was 12. I did go from narrow to medium after my 2nd pregnancy. I would be surprised if my shoe size changes with weight loss.

@@DaisyAmy, like Kristen, I never thought my feet were fat either. But I went from a size 8.5 when I wore a size 8-10 in clothes to a 9.5 wide as I started to gain weight. My largest dress size was a 20 & depending on the top, a 22.

I can now wear a size 10 again & my feet are back to an 8.5

Interestingly, back in the day, when I weighed 165, I was in a size 14, not sure what's happening. My sister is slightly under 5"2. & she weighs the exact same & wears a 14?! I don't get it.

I had to dig around through old pics for a comparison but here you go. (I'm 161.6 now so the "after pic" is a few months old). My feet look the same, just bonier.

Even as a guy I lost a shoe size. I was 13 wide and now I am 12 regular.

I haven;t really noticed any changes in my feet size other than them being bonier and my toes being a little less plump. This said, I wore a pair of Keen sandals two weeks ago that I haven;t worn in months and had to tighten them because they were stretched out in the width. I don;t expect a big change n my feet size. I've been wearing size 10 shoes since 6th grade. Sadly my 10yo daughter has my feet.

I'm just looking forward to wearing heels again. I've heard when you loose the weight they are not so uncomfortable to walk on. At the moment I live in rubber slip ons and my feet ache a lot. Hope this all changes.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
