I am always cold since my sleeve on 12/7/15.

I have to keep a personal heater on me all times during work and a blanket and thick PJ's when I am home.

Try some hot hands. They might help.

I lost a lot of weight previously and my hands and feet were always freezing even in summer, but once my weight loss slowed down (after 1 year) it got better.

That's funny you mentioned this bc I was just sleeved on the 12th and I notice I am always grabbing for my throw blanket. I guess I better get use to it.

was sleeved in May 2015 and since then my hands and feet are almost always cold...Dr. said is is because of the rapid weight loss and will more than likely get better after I reach or get close to where my body thinks is right for me...so 1-2 years post op...give or take. I use warm drinks too or rub them together a lot :) Good luck! xx

Thanks for this thread. I was told that after surgery I would stay cold. I was just wondering how soon after surgery that happens.

I had my sleeve on 9/28 and I am always cold too. I was the guy who was always hot and wore short sleeves year round and slept in my boxers only. Now when I get ready for bed i feel like i am putting on more clothes so i don't feel cold all night long. My wife laughs at me cause she says I put on more clothes to go to bed than I do to go to work.

I bought a fleece and keep it at my desk at work cause there are days when I am absolutely freezing.

I was sleeved on 7/8/15 ... I have been cold ever since .. and I live in Georgia!

Seems like this winter .... though to some it's not extremely cold ... I am always freezing ...

My poor husband will lose weight by default ... He'll melt it off for as high as I have the heat all the time!

I was prepared to be "cold" but not "colllld" .... that's okay ... I'll take any side effect that comes my way ...

I get cuter clothes and feeling better with each day ... So I'm good :) :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
