raec81 18 Posted January 16, 2016 I had my surgery in January 30th 2015. Since then I've lost around 130. I just found out I am pregnant and somewhere around 4 weeks. I'm so excited. I have PCOS so I never thought this would happen. I'm also nervous. Any tips on being able to eat enough. I still can't eat a lot. Protein still fills me up so quick. I'm nervous because this pregnancy is important to me and I want to be able to do the right things. 1 chavezmommy reacted to this
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted January 16, 2016 Well, definitely talk to your ob/gyn and your surgeon, but it really shouldn't be an issue. A developing baby only requires an extra 300 calories per day. Add a Protein Shake made with Protein Powder, whole milk, and half a banana and there you go. 1 chavezmommy reacted to this
raec81 18 Posted January 16, 2016 Thanks. My mom knows and is shoving food at me so I have to remind her I can only eat so much in one sitting.
Fat2Phat2016 541 Posted January 17, 2016 I worry about this if I ever do get pregnant! Keep us posted on your progress!

AshleyMidwife 189 Posted February 25, 2016 I'm having the same issue! I am 8 and a half weeks pregnant and I think that I actually have more restriction since I became pregnant. It makes me nervous that I'm not going to be able to eat enough for this little baby. Anyone else experience more restriction after becoming pregnant? dashofsunshine 875 Posted May 16, 2016 The stories you see of people eating 10 fudge rounds in one sitting or "eating for two" are excessive, guys. Literally, medically: you only need 300 extra calories per day to feed a baby. You can add in a few high Protein Snacks per day and EASILY get that. Don't fret! jea(n__n)ette 98 Posted May 16, 2016 Just clarify with OBGYN/PCP/RD how you would incorporate prenatal Vitamins, especially calcium! Also if you take any meds, see whether any cross the placenta and adjustments can be made. If you don't get enough Calcium for yourself and baby, baby is going to leech your bones dry.
