jerseygirl0519 10 Posted January 16, 2016 Hey all, I'm in the pre-op stages with the last of my appointments scheduled over the next 2 weeks so I've been reading more and more on the forums. I'm not really sure what the pre-op diet is going to be like, but I know I'll have to give up the coffee which is why I'm slowly trying to come off of it now. I work overnight and on slow nights the caffeine is the only thing keeping me awake! So I'm curious to know how your energy levels were pre-op and post-op? Also even though it's different for everyone how long were you out of work for surgery? I'm concerned I'll have such low energy I won't be able to concentrate at work and I'm worried I won't have enough time to take off of work.
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted January 16, 2016 I was off work for two weeks after surgery. I didn't have any complications -- in fact I had a great and fast recovery -- but it did take me a while to get my energy back. For the first couple of weeks I was napping once if not twice a day, and I never, ever nap otherwise. Other people have faster recoveries in terms of getting their energy back, others slower. Good luck!
