Use the search function and type in stall. Your concerns have already been addressed a few hundred times. Better yet, just go straight to the "Don't Sweat the Stall Stuff" subforum. That's where your post should go.

It's easy to be sad and frustrated...we all want our excess weight off and we want it to happen fast. Our bodies take the time it needs to do just that. Yes, it is very common to stall...just keep getting in your Protein, Water and Vitamins...if you follow the plan, it will come off. You will hit stalls, throughout the entire process. Chin up, all is good :)

This is completely normal. 99% of sleeve patients go through this exact same thing. Don't stress about it. Stick to your program, get your Protein in, get your Water in, take your Vitamins, and move around as much as possible and you WILL lose weight. I promise!

I needed the good laugh this caused..haha.

I am experiencing my first "stall" of a week, period related I'm hoping. I'm trying to be calm and not think about it.

@@janira - Am I understanding your post correctly that your period has lasted for 12 days? Is that normal for you? Have you talked to your ob/gyn?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will go to the doctor on Monday and talk about my period. It has never been that long and maybe this has something to do with the stall??? I will see on Monday after I talk to the doc and see what he says...

And yes, I guess stalls are normal and I just have to get over it :/

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
