I don't drink anything with caffeine . At least not yet haven't. I may drink some ice tea down the road but I'm only a little less than a month out. I just don't know how I can get any more liquid in my system with all of the Water I drink and then my food. I do use some salt so I guess that could be it. I'll try the Gatorade tho thanks!

I can now drink 100-120 ounces of Water a day. I just sip, sip, sip, every few minutes even at two years out.

You may be washing all the sodium out of your system. Gatorade really may be your answer. Works for me.

How strange, I have the exact opposite problem. I am coming up on my 1 year mark and I still struggle with hitting my Water goal. I am just not thirsty like I used to be. Hell, I used to drink 64 oz before lunch.

Low sodium is a real thing. I had a precipitous drop in my blood pressure post-sleeve due to not getting enough sodium. It got to the point where my doctor's patient plan for me literally said "liberally increase intake of salt". It was hard for me to figure out ways of getting more sodium. I G2 or Powerade Zero might help you.

@@JamieLogical I found it humorous that after hearing avoid salt for 25 years my surgeon told me to start hitting the salt! But I don't like the taste of salty food anymore!

Oh, I almost forgot... now that I no longer drink diet soda, my sodium intake is next to nothing. Well, comparatively speaking.

I feel the same way...I think. I just never feel like my thirst has been quenched. The sip sip sipping drives me nuts. I wanna big gulp!

I'm in the same boat. No caffeine products. I drink Water, grape juice, fair life milk, and my Protein drinks. I feel like nothing quenches my thirst. I'll try adding Gatorade to my liquids to see if that helps.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
