maryrose 2 Posted July 27, 2007 I'm just wondering how long I can expect a fill to last? I am sure it is different for everyone, but I feel I need another one only after about 8 weeks. I could tell at the exact meal when I lost the good restriction. Has this happened to anyone else? when you do reach the "sweet" spot I am wondering how long it lasts? Bullwinkle 1 Posted July 27, 2007 I got my first fill 4 weeks after surgery. I got my 2nd fill two weeks later, and my 3rd fill two weeks after that. I am having my 4th fill on Tuesday.....2 weeks since my last one. I was upset at my last fill and asked the dietician (who is also banded) if I would EVER hit that elusive "sweet spot".....she said, "Don't worry. It will happen for you!" So, I'm hoping that fill #4 for find me at the sweet spot. If not, I'll go back in two more weeks for another.

maryrose 2 Posted July 30, 2007 thanks for the replies! I had another fill the other day and feel pretty good. I'm just wondering how long the restriction lasts..and wonder if I will need fills for years to come.
kacee 3 Posted August 1, 2007 I think you can pretty much bank on needing fills from now on...at some point or other. I don't think we ever get to the point where a fill lasts forever. I just got my third fill two days ago and I already am not feeling it.
