Here are some solutions I have copied and pasted from other posts -- for your future use:

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 722pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=962 border=0 x:str><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 722pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 35181" width=962><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 105pt; mso-height-source: userset" height=140><TD class=xl24 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; WIDTH: 722pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; HEIGHT: 105pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=962 height=140 x:str="If you are not fully sliming and hurting, then you have not PB'd. There are a few things you can try to help break down the bread and help it pass on through, then you will feel better. The first is to sip a bit of pineapple juice. Not a lot or quickly or it will simply back up. Sip it, allow it a bit of time to break things down. Something to do with the acidity. I have not had similar luck with other juices....just pineapple. Then if that doesn't work, and you are seriously stuck....you can buy Papaya Enzyme at GNC or similar stores---health/nutrition shops. It is chewable and is supposed to be not bad tasting, I have never had to use it, the pineapple usually helped....or sent me into a PB....and the issue was resolved that way. Now I have also heard of things causing blockages, that were more difficult to break down than your evil bread. ">If you are not fully sliming and hurting, then you have not PB'd. Hi folks. I'm new here and this is my very first post. I've researched various bariatric surgeries for over a year and have finally made up my mind to have lapbanding. I go for my initial seminar next month. I'm reading the posts and I've seen the terms "PB'd" and "slimed" a few times. Forgive my ignorance but can someone explain what this stands for? I'll probably feel silly when I hear the explanation. Thank you in advance and BTW, I find all the postings very helpful. Good luck to all!

Has anybody ever had problems eating solid food and be congested in the head. I tried to eat a little bit of food tonight and got bad pain in my chest and kept coughing up and burping up phlem. I am on my second fill and haven't had too many problems up until now. Also, how do you know if the band slips?:help:

I have had congestion recently and took medicine that seems to make the band more restricted than normal. My sinus drain in the back of my throat so the excess drainage has been frustrating with the tighter band as well - similiar to the situation that you described.

Get well soon!

I get my papaya enzymes (chewables) at Walmart. They are very inexpensive and work great. I take these several times a day. After you have gotten stuck you'll never want it to happen again.

They tastae great too.

can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes to dissolve the blockage (meat) once the enzymes are taken? Should I drink liquid with them or not? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
