EP8 9 Posted January 11, 2016 Does everyone get it? I'm pre op but preparing myself with all the supplies i need before my surgery in two weeks. It seems that many people suffer from severe heartburn. Is this true? What can i get just in case I end up with heartburn. Will it be for the rest of my life? Thanks! Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted January 11, 2016 My surgeon prescribed Omeprazol. I would definitely suggest talking with your surgeon about this.

Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted January 11, 2016 Omezaprol is gross. Im supposed to take with Jello for 90 days, but instead im taking gas-x chewables Hmm. I didn't experience this. Just took it as prescribed and didn't have a problem. It is interesting how different each person's experience can be.
JamieLogical 8,710 Posted January 11, 2016 My surgeon prescribed 2 months of omeprazole post-op. You should discuss with your surgeon before-hand beforeyou just buy it over the counter. It can be cheaper with a prescription, plus I was prescribed 40mg and the OTC version is only 20mg.
