swizzle 120 Posted February 3, 2016 PrettyCali916 that's been about as long as I've quit and it feels amazing, honestly! I see that 916 is in your title. Are you in Sacramento? I am, and was wondering what surgeon you have, if you don't mind sharing! Also, it sounds like you must have just had your surgery pretty recently, so congrats!! I don't have a date yet but probably March-ish
prettyCali916 299 Posted February 3, 2016 @@swizzle Hi! Yes I'm in Sacramento! I actually decided to have my surgery in San Francisco. Initially I was going to go through Ben Shadle but I didn't like how they were set up with the Hernried center, and after my consult I determined that he was very hands off - only wanted to see patient at surgery and then passes you off to the Hernried center. On top of that, the Hernried Center gave someone else my paperwork with my personal info on it so that was a huge red flag! I then went back to the Dr. I had read so much about at the beginning of my research, but thought I couldn't see because he was in San Francisco - Dr. Gregg Jossart. I decided that I might as well just suck it up and go to him, just to see what all the hype was about. At the consult he was just as amazing as I had expected him to be so i decided to go to him. He sleeved me on Monday! Who are you thinking about going to?
swizzle 120 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) @prettyCali916 I have Dr. Laura Machado. I love her attitude and she has been very great during the consultations, and I'm pretty happy with her. The only complaints I've seen out there are of her office and admin staff, which I'm fine with, honestly. But I was just curious Congrats!! That's wonderful! Good luck on your new life! mngreeneyes 674 Posted February 3, 2016 Did anyone lose weight after quitting Diet coke? Just went and bought some alternative drinks. Flavored carbonated sugar free waters, Protein and Fiber drink mix and Great Value sugar free drink mix. Hope I like at least some. Not unless I was doing serious dieting and exercise. Even when I switch to strictly plain Water, I still didn't lose anything that I could attribute to the Diet Coke. pam

swizzle 120 Posted February 4, 2016 @@swizzle I almost went with her too! My insurance isn't authorized to go there! She's brilliant I've heard! Good luck!!!! Awesome! I'm so glad you've heard good things about her. I love her, and it was basically her whole attitude and vibe at that first seminar that really solidified this for me. Thanks!! It doesn't quite feel real yet, since it's still a bit far out from my surgery... well not that far, OMG!! :)

thebynum79 10 Posted February 14, 2016 I feel you on that. The tingling sensation. What I've tried to do more is drink seltzer flavored water, and that seems to work well, and my doctor said it was alright. Hope this helps. ????
LauPau 0 Posted February 17, 2016 I have pretty much weaned off Diet Dr Pepper and started tea- I'm fine with unsweetened but how important really is it to totally cut out caffeine??
Jade99 40 Posted February 17, 2016 I'm in the process of weaning myself off of sodas. Hopefully, for good.
sisterchip 3 Posted February 21, 2016 Pepsi Max was my addiction! I have swapped diet coke/pepsi max for soda Water or sparkling Water - this gives me the fizzy drink without all the other inclusions!
MsB7 64 Posted February 22, 2016 I can Agree with everyone about the Fizzy High.. I drink Canada Dry everyday because I Need that Fiz. I did purchase a few bottles carbonated Water. I was told that the Carbonated drinks Must be stopped so I purchased Crystal Light. My thought is that If I start now trying to wean myself off then I will be fine by June or July.
