jj7481 363 Posted January 10, 2016 I was given an amount more so than a calorie limit. I'm in stage two and can intake 1-2 oz 3-4x per day. I supplement that with Protein shakes to make sure I'm getting at least 60 grams of Protein. Additionally, my Water intake is at least 60oz but usually ends up being 72 oz since I can't give up my leaded coffee. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

mykdzmom 387 Posted January 10, 2016 At 5 weeks my surgeon advised to have 600-800 calories per day with 60-80 grams of Protein. The emphasis being protein. pink22 30 Posted January 10, 2016 I feel like maybe I'm eating too many calories, but the sizes seem reasonable - approximately 2/3 of a cup per "meal". I'm getting my 60 grams of Protein in and my 20 minutes of exercise. almost 4 weeks post-op, but have only lost 23 pounds (including the shakes before the surgery). I'm going to keep at it, slow but steady. I feel that this is an eating pattern I can quite happily live with...but worry still. I can't wait for the 5 week class and nurses visit. bostongirlforever 11 Posted January 17, 2016 8 months out and I eat about 1,000-1200 a day but I run a lot so most of it is Protein to give me energy for my workout.
