Hey guys the reason for my post is to get some ideas on what Protein Shakes you guys are using. I am drinking premier and have had muscle milk ones. But I'm getting tired of them I'm open to home made ones if you guys have any. Also any new ones that we can have that's low on sugar and good on Protein. Please help and thanks

I'm using Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard whey. So far the double chocolate has served me well. One thing I've found is adding a little softened PB mixes and creates a Reeses PB cup-like taste.

Another thing you can try is adding Protein powder to various foods. I sprinkle some powder on my vanilla Greek yogurt and it mixes to make a pudding consistency. Tastes pretty darn good too.

I really like Syntrax Protein Shakes. They come in some great flavors like fuzzy navel. They have 23g of Protein per scoop, 100cal, 0 carbs, 0 sugar. They don't have that "protein" taste. Do you know what I mean? The only downside is they don't come in ready to go shakes. You have to mix them yourself, but worth it. YUMMIE!!

Also if you're allowed coffee or Decaf, adding some instant crystals to vanilla or chocolate shakes is pretty yummy!

I love the Protein Powder that Quest makes. My favorites are Salted Caramel and Cookies and Creme. I blend mine in a nutribullet with sugarfree almond milk and ice. It is better than a milkshake!

I live for the Syntrax shakes. Can't tolerate the shakes mixed with milk so these are perfect for me. My trick? Add a sleeve of Crystal Light Orange or Mango Peach to the Water before you mix it and add ice. It's heaven in a cup. Also, the Iced Tea with Lemon is wonderful too- I add crystal light lemonade to that one!!!!

Torani syrups has a bunch of sugar free ones. I added some sf brown sugar cinnamon to a vanilla Protein Shake and it was really yummy. I order online from their website.

Cost Plus World Market has the entire SF Torani Syrup line- well priced too. Love the SF raspberry and coconut!!! They even have chocolate! Can add these to your Water as well!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
