kimmom 5 Posted July 26, 2007 I had my first fill 6 weeks post op it was 3 ccs in a 10 band. I do get plugged up quite often, even with chewing good , with a variety of foods not in one certian category. Does this mean that I am full enough with fill solution ? I dont feel alot of restriction but I am confused if this means I should not get another fill or is it possible to still " need " a fill even though i get blocked sometimes ? I posted this before but didnt get much response and I am confused. I have another fill appointment in Aug. Does this mean I will get blocked even more if I get another fill ? Thanks so much Kim
ethansgrandma 0 Posted July 26, 2007 sometimes it takes a few weeks for a fill to adjust. if you are getting blocked up, i dont think i would get another fill right now, or you may start throwing everything up. everyone fills differently, even in a 10 band, you may only need 2-3 cc's. when you go for your next fill appt have a good conversation with the doc, let them assess the situation, you may not need another fill for awhile. hope this helps. juliegeraci 7 Posted July 26, 2007 Kim, if you are getting plugged up as much as I think you are you probably do not need another fill. If however, you are not losing 1-2 lbs per week and can eat more than 1/4 cup of food you may need a fill. It just depends on how much it bugs you to get plugged up. Good luck.
