BestDayEver 418 Posted January 8, 2016 A year ago to the day I had my first consult with my bariatric surgeon, when she told me in one year I could be at a normal weight, I weighed in and now have a "normal" BMI. It's been 8 months since surgery and I've lost 88 pounds, a loss of 98 pounds from a year ago. It feels damn good. I'm now 7 pounds from goal, 17 from a stretch goal. I'm just trying figure out what I want to look like. I'm hoping I'll know it when I see it.

VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted January 10, 2016 Congrats on your very good WLS results. And as to what you'll look like when you reach the right goal, just know that after your weight stabilizes (based on what it wants to do and how well you're eating / exercising) your looks will probably continue to change for some time. That's certainly how it's been for me. Things have continued to tighten up in ways I didn't expect, and I don't think it's really due to exercise alone. That's certainly why most plastic surgeons want you to reach and maintain a stable weight for a year prior to any plastics.
