bunnies26 34 Posted April 10, 2016 I have lost 20lbs since surgery (I'm 7 weeks) and 40lbs since I started trying back in January to lose. I think I wasn't eating enough. I only lost 1lb each week for the last 4 weeks. So I'm upping my intake and am already down almost 2lbs! How much have you upped it to?

I'm now trying to do 700-800 calories and 70-80g of protien. The true test will be tomorrow morning when I do my offically weekly weigh in.
miranda_ky 10 Posted April 10, 2016 My doctor told me a minimun of 1000-1200 calories and 70-100grams of Protein. Its hard to get that much in but my weight loss has significantly picked up since I did.
JapGirl 229 Posted April 11, 2016 They want me to be around 1000-1200 calories around 4-6 months. Right now I'm 7 weeks. I weighed this week and I'm down 2.6lbs from last week's weigh in
BelgianGuy 350 Posted April 11, 2016 I was sleeved on the 25th of February, this far I have lost 38lbs. I go to the swimming pool twice a week for two weeks now and try to bike 2 to 3 times a week if the weather isn't awful as hell.
BelgianGuy 350 Posted April 25, 2016 Well today is my "two months" surgery anniversary, and I went from 123,3kilograms (around 272ponds) to 102,3kilograms (around 225,5 pounds). I am sure pretty glad about the result and I have been feeling great recently, being able to go back on more intensive biking but also swimming. Cheers everyone! SuzzyQ_delli 35 Posted May 25, 2016 So after the big loss with the pre-op diet and the 1st month after surgery was a 14lb loss. I am now only losing about 7lbs a month. I get all my Protein in and exercise 5x a week. Sleeve weight 274 current weight 242. Does this seem like a slow loss compared to most of you? Don't get me wrong I'm stoked!!! I just really wanted to get under 200lbs and at this rate it's not going to happen. Oh I am also 5'10"
Jennifer Ostermeier 45 Posted May 25, 2016 What makes you think like it's not going to happen? You are losing weight at your body's comfortable pace. Try not to focus on the pound so much. I know I do the same thing, but I also know that the disappointment when I haven't lost the weight can leave me to eating things that are off of my plan. I get obsessed with how much weight everybody else is losing so that I can compare myself to them. It is a useless waste of time. What do you learn about yourself? Keep up the great work, in six months you may just be under that 200 pound mark you want to be.
Jargon 9 Posted May 25, 2016 3 months out now. Surgery I was at 274 (when I started the process I was 310). When doc told me he thinks I was going to hit "healthy" weight." I'm like what is healthy? He said 165/170. My wife and I nearly laughed him out of the room. This morning I weighed 204. Can't believe it! Doc and nutritionist both said I'm a star patient high Protein, lots of Water, low carb, low sugar and work out 6 days a week (averaging 16k steps a day) This coming from someone who hated the gym. Now I hate it when I miss. Life is so different now. All good things. I'm so used to what I eat I rarely think about the food I'm "missing". I've been lucky no complications or anything. Hope you guys are doing great too!!

KristenLe 5,979 Posted May 26, 2016 I think your weight loss is great but if you increase fluids and change up your exercise - it may kick start it faster. I've seen that work for others. Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App
