Hey guys!

Well, my nine month anniversary was on Christmas day and every month we take pictures of my progress. I still have a few pounds to lose so I asked my dietitian how do I make this stop, I don't want to look too sickly. She told me that at 135 pounds to slowly introduce good carbs and fats into my diet and watch the scale.

Well, with the holidays and the death of my mother in law, it has been real easy to slow down my weight loss. I guess you could say I'm at a stall at 137 and have been for a month. Which is fine, I have come a long way and looking back I can't believe how fast it went.

The first 2 months after surgery I was frustrated because I was still in my 2x and 3x clothes and not seeing a change. But by the 3th month my pant sizes were changing every 3-4 weeks. I was shopping at Goodwill every month buying a new pair of pants. I'm now in a size 8, CRAZY! :D

I'm so scared that I will wake up and it would have been a glorious dream.

This forum and the support from you all have been a blessing for me and I thank you!

May you all have a healthy and slimming 2016!

God bless,

-Kim

Congratulations, you look great! I am seven months out and stuck at 135, which is five pounds from my goal. It is frustrating because it was so easy for me to take the other 95 pounds off. I would like to blame it on the holidays and the fact that I just had my first plastic surgery and cannot exercise right now, but sure would like to get that last 5 pounds off.

Thank you! I see that we have about the same numbers. I can't believe you already had plastic surgery. How did that go?

If I might say (and you already know this) but be patient, you will break the stall. I finally did. I went to my bariatric surgeon today and I'm down again. He said even if I don't loose in the next year, my body will still change, muscle tone, skin, etc. He doesn't want to see me again for another year. woohoo

So I think I will wait a few more months before I see a plastic surgeon. Keep up the good work, the worse is over, IMO.

We are AWESOME!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
