betterme38 275 Posted January 5, 2016 Hello all! Was just curious to see if you all had received a psych evaluation letter? The assistant of my Dr said we will receive a letter also as they will. I was just wondering if you all had received one by chance? My psych evaluation said I was fine and looked like a good cantina tell but now that I think about it, what was the tests for...the letter possibly?
con con 142 Posted January 5, 2016 I could have received my dr assessment if I wanted it. But I didn't have a need. They need to do a pychological evaluation for the surgeon and insurance purposes.
EllaMat13 1 Posted January 6, 2016 Yes, I received a copy of my letter, but only because I asked for it. I just wanted it for my records in case anyone dropped the ball with insurance etc. It basically outlined my psych history and how the psychiatrist thinks I will fair in the long term, after surgery. Nothing terribly exciting!

cindyw41 761 Posted January 6, 2016 My psych dr told me that I was approved and how he felt about my choice during my appointment. I didn't need a copy. They sent one to my doctor though.
claddagh66 132 Posted January 8, 2016 I had my eval today and didn't go home with an approval letter but my physician assistant told me I was approved. I'm sure if I asked for one I can get one being she gives me an office note after each visit
JCP 619 Posted January 12, 2016 Mine was pretty straight forward. When I met with her, she asked me a lot of questions about my expectations, my history, and she wanted to make sure I was informed about all the pros, cons, risks, etc. But she was very supportive and in the end my letter said I was a good candidate who should benefit from the procedure. And she was right.
