MillieBug 2 Posted January 3, 2016 I discovered a few hours ago that I'm now lactose intolerant. It was pretty amazing actually because from the time I had the milk to when I realized I had to go, I'm not sure 15 minutes passed. That's gotta be a record for "food" to pass through me. I say food because I was bad today (day 6 post-op) and tried to eat eggs. Apparently I don't like those anymore. They hurt on their way to my mini-tummy but I blame the healing of the hiatal hernia. Anyway, has anyone else experienced this? Post-op lactose intolerance..
sshawk69 17 Posted January 3, 2016 Sleeved 8/17/2015 it took months before I could eat dairy and eggs. Try fair life milk it's really good. And has 13g of Proteins. Egg beaters worked for me.
MillieBug 2 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) Thank you SO much! I was beginning to worry because no one had responded saying yes. I'll try fairway.. pretty sure I've seen that in Publix. I'll pass on the egg beaters though. I read the ingredients lossy once and I can't bring myself to try them. Edited January 4, 2016 by MillieBug

Fame 53 Posted January 5, 2016 I was lactose intolerant until 3 months out. But only like straight milk, yogurt, and premier shakes. I can consume them now with no issues. I never had a problem with cheese though.. which was odd. I did drink lactaid during my lactose intolerance stage.
