Tims- I'm hoping I will lose some of mine :car:.. but I'm a woman so I can't say for sure. I know I once watched on TV about this man that had that problem and he was not overweight. He had plastic surgery. It looked fine after that. I would not even think of that until you are to goal. I'm sure you will lose most if not all.

They definitely will get smaller. I'm hoping they will continue to deflate (along with my spare tire and thighs) as I continue my journey.

Good luck.

Tim I think it would all depend if the man boobs are caused by weight (fat) or breast tissue. Did you have them when you were younger or was it something that developed with your weight? Either way Im sure it will shrink with the weight loss. You might want to check with the Dr. to make sure.

I definitely got them once I started gaining weight. I hear smoking weed can also attribute to it. I lost like 30lbs. last year and they got smaller because once I gained that all back, they got bigger. They f*$#ing suck. Its sort of an embarrassing subject because I got made fun of a LOT in junior high. I used to be thin before 5th grade.

Watching The Biggest Loser, I think moobs are genetic. Some huge guys go back to normal and some smaller guys suffer terribly. They will definitely get smaller.

OMG this topic is serious, but lighthearted at the same time. "Moobs" I hadn't heard that label before, that made me crack up, OK sorry I know it's a serious issue. Anyway, I think there may be some hormonal component or it may be all weight, but ask your doc. I don't think I notice a guy with man boobs that much, but I'm a girl so I don't focus on boobs frankly. It think it's a guy-to-guy thing. Like us girls, we notice when a girl has nasty toenails, but do guys notice really? I doubt it. Don't head trip over it. Oh and since you brought it up Tim, I think weed just leads to the munchies, probably should be one of the post-band "rules", like no carbonated drinks. Disclaimer: weed at your own risk!

Ask your doc about weight and man boobs, versus getting your hormone levels checked. Did your dad have them? May be a genetic fat storage issue.

My son who is only 20 lbs over weight has them and they seem to go and down sometime more noticable then others. When gets tired of them and starts do push up and and upper work out with dumbbells and seems to help alot. Let me tell you nothing makes a Mom madder the hell when your son comes home and tells you that this jerk or that was making fun of your moobs. So I feel your pain.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
