Ready2LoseIt213 34 Posted January 2, 2016 I am so sick of Protein Shakes, pudding, Jello and yogurt... I can't stand all these sweet tastes. I just want something savory... I know I can have chicken broth but I am so looking forward to something else!!! Who can relate and what are the first things you ate on the next phase? Meggles07 21 Posted January 3, 2016 All I wanted was cheese. I begged the dietitian to let me have a bit a day or two early. Now I'm tired of eating cheese
James Marusek 5,244 Posted January 3, 2016 After surgery most foods seemed to lose their taste. Eventually I found out that mixing foods together seemed to add flavor back into my meals. So I generally relied on softer foods such as chilis and Soups.

Kristin7676 32 Posted January 3, 2016 I can totally relate. I am only 5 days out and everything is so sweet. Only thing I can have this week that is not sweet is broth and just the smell of it makes me sick. All the things that get added next week, yougart, pudding, ect are sweet too. I never liked cream of wheat, but I bought some today to try next week since it is not sweet (that I know of) Trying to make it to week 3 when I can add somethings that are savory/salty. Pre-surgery I liked sweets as much as the next person, but would always prefer food to sweets so week and half will be hard, but 2 weeks will be over before we know it. MrsQ2016 23 Posted January 4, 2016 Have you tried cream Soups? They are working for me in between my shakes. Just make sure to strain.
