How are you guys handling the clothing conundrum? I'm down 66ish lbs and it is at the point where my leggings are baggy...yes it is time to start clearing out some of my clothing and buy a few new pieces. I am just not even sure how to handle the clothing cost....b/c I know whatever I buy will be too big soon enough. I was thinking of continuing to buy stuff with leggings and shift type dresses where it is okay for it to be baggy...but any other tips or ideas? What are you doing without spending a ton of money? Where are you shopping? I don't even know what size I am now...I started at a 24ish.

I have found a few thrift stores that are really nice. My goal is to keep just basics in stock as I lose, especially things that can be a bit baggy and still look good. Sounds like you have a plan.

I'm still early out(sleeved 12/08/15) and am down 20.6 pounds. I fortunately still have clothes leading up to my biggest size so have a few items to fall back on but have seen some posts like this on here before and a lot of people say "thrift shops". I would have to agree. I understand it's not ideal but if you'll be moving through sizes fairly quickly, it's a cost effective way to do things. Also, clearance racks can be your friend too. Congrats on the loss! Ps, I LOVE leggings and tunics(and yoga pants, etc.)!!!!!

Check out Poshmark.com. used clothes in all sizes. Also a great way to get rid of your clothes that don't fit and make a little money.

I've been shopping at thrift stores. I buy a few things that can be mixed and matched so that I'm not buying very much in each size. I've been giving all my too big clothes to a friend that had surgery a couple weeks ago or you can try selling the clothes you no longer need.

I'm having the hardest time departing with my big clothes! I have them bagged up but for some reason I can't get them to the donation bin. Buying smaller clothes is great but costly since I'm not at goal yet.

I am glad it is winter, lol. I found Faded Glory jeggings at Walmart for less than $15. I like them because they are a thicker material than typical leggings... more like a stretchy jean weight material. I got black, brown, gray, wine, and just love them with boots. Leggings and boots paired with a tunic and scarf.... a wardrobe staple for me right now. I found some cute tunics on Zulily for about $20. It definitely helps to get creative. I like to shop the sale racks at less expensive stores like Catos or Ross too. I am also not willing to spend too much on a temporary wardrobe... but I have to have nice looking clothes for work.

I'm in the same boat as you. Down 65lbs and I'm starting to run out of things to wear. Before surgery I broke into the 3X zone but fortunately I kept my 2X stuff. Now I'm fitting 1X so I got a few new items on clearance but I know more than likely I'll be at the thrift store too.

But man it actually feels good to shopping again.

Thrift stores. Leggings. Dresses or tunics. A dress clip (mitten clips work too) to cinch in the backs of dresses or tops to keep them fitting longer! I used the heck outa mine--got it on Amazon!

Old Navy has been my choice. They have terrific sales all the time. I buy really nice jeans for $15 when they have them at 50% off. The v neck tees are so cheap but look really nice. I love their active wear and I've gotten it at 50% or 60% off. Just wait for the sales. You can buy larger sizes online if needed.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
