Hi everyone, I am so ready to start eating healthy for my day. Since I am still waiting for my appointment for the information session on 1/6.. I'm curious about when they count your first weigh-in. Is it in the very first information class before my 12 week course classes? Or is it that very appointment that I have on 1/6? I'm trying to maintain my weight because I barely hit the qualifying BMI. So I can't start yet or I won't qualify anymore, but I want to so badly. I'm so motivated and ready! Thank you so much in advance for the info. ♡♡♡

@ my first weigh counted at the surgeons office. are you at least 5'5"? if you are truly 5'4.99" you can be listed as 5'4" and your BMI will be elevated a bit.

I've always been listed as 5'5" but I've never really been checked. You know how it goes, they ask your height but never check. I guess I can just "confess" my real height of 5'4.75" .. I'm sure it will work. So thank you @@jane13 I never thought of that. That is a great idea. Now I can start eating healthy now.

@ I USE to be over 5'8" but apparently I am now just under 5'8" so I actually could have listed a higher BMI. When I was told the difference I was dumbfounded. The doctors office said it just gives me a bump zone.

I forgot to update. @@jane13 ... I ended up being exactly 5'5". Lol .. Also, I asked the nurse and she said they go by my referral weight. So, even if I had lost weight then, it would have been okay.

But I am glad I waited till my official weigh in..

I believe they used my initial weight at the first doctors consultation. But I've heard of others using even the weight at the hospital on the day of surgery. You might want to clarify with your ins co. just so there are no surprises if you are borderline. I was also borderline for having a high enough BMI, but never had an issue. I don't think they even weighed me at the hospital the day of the surgery.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
