NewBakstballMom 2 Posted December 28, 2015 I hade Surgery on 12/21/15 and I am curious as to when to expect weight loss to slow down and be more consistent? I have had tremendous loss this week but I know it won't continue so I want to know when to change things up. I am doing light exercise and still on a liquid/runny food diet but I don't want to set myself up for failure. Can any of you veterans with experience help me out with this question? Babbs 14,681 Posted December 28, 2015 Between 3-6 weeks after surgery, most people hit a stall. It's just the body's way of 'taking a break' after the large loss. After the stall passes, depending on your weight, you can expect more 'normal' losses of 2-5 pounds per week. Then the closer you get to your weight loss goal, expect your losses to slow a bit more. Good luck! Sounds like you're doing just great so far!
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted December 28, 2015 None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience of losses and stalls. As @@Babbs mentioned, most of us experience a stall about three weeks after surgery. Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids. Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed. And, exercise. Embrace the Stall! http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
