kempermorris 144 Posted December 28, 2015 Starting weight 410. Current weight 250. 60 more pounds to go. This surgery changed my life & I'm not thru yet. I'm no longer diabetic. My sleep apnea is gone. My neuropathy in my feet is gone. I've lost 16 inches in my waist. My blood pressure & cholesterol is in check. I can choose a booth instead of a table because I'm too fat to fit in it. My energy is incredible. I'm now addicted to exercise. I walk 3 miles 4 days a week. I lift weights at the gym 3 days a week. I look forward to what lays ahead next year. My dog has even lost 25 lbs from all the walks. It was the best thing I've ever done for myself & also the hardest. I look forward to being under 200 lbs. Hopefully I've added a few years to my life. I'm 60 yrs old & I'm getting another chance. I appreciate all the support I got from this group. It really helped me get thru the rough Patches. Thanks again

kempermorris 144 Posted December 28, 2015 I was taking 2 shots of insulin a day. No shots at all day after surgery. Neropathy took a little longer. Probably 6-9 months. It was so bad I couldn't walkvfrom one side of Wal-Mart to the other.
