Emotional Eating -- workbooks, books?

I just ordered a book from Amazon called The food and Feelings Workbook: A Full Course Meal on Emotional Health by

Karen R. Koenig. It was published in Jan 2007, so it's pretty current. After I read it I will post on it's usefullness. I wondered if anyone else had tried any books or workbooks to help deal with "head hunger" and emotional eating triggers? Being "full" physically won't stop me from wanting food to feel better (better=comfort) but if I don't get that monkey off my back, I may as well not even get a lap band. :frusty: (Yup, I'm pre-band stage.) Any words of wisdom or suggestions for further reading?

I used one called BINGE! years ago and tried some of the exercises. I can't say it worked long-term but I didn't put the effort in.

I have some exercises from my band psychologist. I'm only just starting to try them however.

Please let me know if the book's any good.

      Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

        Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...
