Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted December 27, 2015 Has anyone been able to discontinue using their CPAP machine after surgery? That's one of my big hopes! I haven't yet, but a few weeks after surgery I switched to a CPAP that automatically adjusts the pressure because the pressure was too high. You might want to make an appointment with your sleep Doctor after surgery to see if you need any adjustments.
Kayzeekat 15 Posted December 29, 2015 Yes!!! I was having problems about four months after my surgery with my CPAP....it felt like the pressure was too high...had to go to doc and have it adjusted...but still had problems...he suggested using every other night and see how I did. I slept great. I haven't used it in over a year...and no side effects like before i was diagnosed with apnea.....I hated that thing but it did help me sleep better....I don't miss it....best of luck to you.... Dub 9,922 Posted December 29, 2015 I'm down almost 120 lbs since June. I still need it just as bad as ever. Others have had better luck.
