Ladybrinkman 30 Posted December 27, 2015 I'm excited more than nervous. I've been big my whole life, it's time for me to feel good in my body! My husband is a cancer survivor and we worry about his health, I need to be healthy to be around for a long time for my boys.
lyfromsj 7 Posted December 27, 2015 Hey Amy!! Good for you. It's awesome to be taking control of our lives. I'm 5'6" 240 lbs. it took a long time for me to make this decision. I think it is the right one for me. As my surgery gets closer I'm just getting nervous. I start my 14 day liquid Dec 30th. Hopefully that will go well and give me a jump start on my weight loss. I have also started going to the gym. That should help too. Good luck to you!
Jenpen197803 2 Posted December 27, 2015 Hi Linda and Amy! It's nice to connect with other people getting ready for surgery. Amy, my husband is a cancer survivor too, so I can relate to already worrying about long-term health in your twenties and thirties. Blessedly, he's been in remission for close to 9 years. I understand that feeling of being heavy my whole life. I'm also bit of an emotional eater, so I've been working with a counselor on these issues and it's definitely helped. Linda, what end of NJ are you? We are south jersey. What kind of Protein Drinks are you ladies drinking for pre op? I can always use suggestions!
