Manduh_Raye23 2 Posted December 26, 2015 It's been 9 days since surgery (12/17), and I'm so thirsty! But drinking is still very uncomfortable. Does anyone else have this problem? I eat a lot of Popsicles but it doesn't help me with the hunger. My lips are now chapped :-(
Dub 9,922 Posted December 27, 2015 The hunger is more than likely.....not hunger. If you were sleeved and are experiencing real hunger then you should be talking immediately to your surgeon about this. You have to take sips of Water......no real gulps or big swallows.........just carefully meter it down your throat......a trickle at a time. It gets easier. Kindle 8,667 Posted December 27, 2015 Sip sip sip from the time you wake up in the morning till you go to bed. Keep a drink within arms reach at all times. Some people keep a timer and drink 1-2 oz every 15 minutes. Do what it takes to stay hydrated. It is your number one priority at this point.

Manduh_Raye23 2 Posted December 28, 2015 I only sip, no gulping or anything like that. I eat Popsicles which count as liquid intake along with Jello but even sips hurt :-/
