cookielover 1 Posted July 24, 2007 Hi I have not had my lapband yet, but I was wondering if any of you still enjoy Starbuck beverages with your band? You know the speciality drinks?
Manatee 4 Posted July 24, 2007 I do -- but not NEARLY as often. I simply know that when I have my <multistep overpriced coffee order here> that I am sucking down X calories and will have to be on my exercise equipment for an extra hour or so that day. See starbucks® beverages & food details Some of those drinks are downright scary -- might as well get a milkshake
paladin 0 Posted July 24, 2007 No wonder I get that temporary high after Starbucks. I had no idea that the sugars, carbs, & calories were that high. Scary is an understatement. Thanks for the link.
PrincessChey 5 Posted July 24, 2007 i had a raspberry mocha frapp LIGHT yesterday it was SO GOOD. mmm. its only 160 cal.
FarmerE 0 Posted July 24, 2007 I agree with everyone else with the calories. I know they are a lot but as a treat, it's not so bad. I was told prior to surgery to lay off the caffeine and I did. I'm the goofball that now orders everything in Decaf and everyone looks at with the "why the heck are you getting coffee then?" look in their face.
juliegeraci 7 Posted July 26, 2007 I'm addicted! I enjoy a sugar free, non fat cinnamon dulce and love them. I don't know how many calories. I would say 200-300.
mbeckett1 0 Posted August 24, 2007 Starbucks is not that bad, you just have to order right. I went today - 7 days post op - Got a China Tips Green Tea with 2 Splendas & some frothed Skim Milk. Very good!
marybrid19 0 Posted August 26, 2007 i had surgery 3 weeks ago and i went into starbuck when i was on full liquids and got a frappachino... they were able to make it Decaf for me.. of course i had it without the whip cream though... but it was delicious.. and very low in fat .... JulieNYC 4 Posted August 26, 2007 In the winter I get a cafe misto with skim -- 12 g Protein and only 90 cals. In the summer, I get ice coffee -- no protein, but no cals either and it makes me HAPPY!
gurlygirl 0 Posted August 26, 2007 I'm addicted! I enjoy a sugar free, non fat cinnamon dulce and love them. I don't know how many calories. I would say 200-300. Me and coworker have been watching our calories and looked at all the Starbucks drinks to find the ones with the least amount of calories and fat content. The grande nonfat sugar free latte's are only 130 calories. Super filling too. So the tall would be even less than this and you can get the Decaf variety if your Water intake is of concern. :ranger:
skyeblu79 0 Posted August 26, 2007 Usually a couple of times a month I will get a sugarfree iced coffee. I usually get sf vanilla or hazlenut added...It's not quite a frapp, but it's really good. I have only had a frapp once since being banded and I really didn't need it then.
want2beme 2 Posted August 27, 2007 Can you drink an entire Starbucks? or do you get full? I'm confused! and not banded yet... please explain.
