MsCyrus 90 Posted December 26, 2015 I am in my 7 days of liquid pre-op stage and already know a stall will be tough. Everyone say stay off the scale...BUT...I can tell I will be weighing regularly. I gained 3 lbs since yesterday and this is the liver cleanse liquid stage where lots lose 10 lbs or more! Yikes!!! I talked to my husband and explained stalls to him and how he can support me since we get the stalls! My class taught us to increase our calorie count by 200 calories a day and increase our exercise and to try a new form of exercise. Then track everything! I hope you all pass through your stall soon! I will be crossing my fingers for you!!
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted December 26, 2015 Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. If you are planning to lose a lot of weight, you will experience periodic stalls. Almost everyone has their first stall about three weeks after surgery. I don't know that there is a usual duration for stalls. As long as you follow your program and don't cut protein/calories as a response to a stall, weight loss will resume eventually. Follow your program. Make sure you are getting in all of your Protein and fluids. Take your Vitamins and supplements as instructed. And exercise. Embrace the Stall! http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
