Klolojadie 46 Posted December 23, 2015 I'm dreading the first time that happens to me 8 days out...so far so good with not overfilling the new pouch. I feel sometimes like it holds more than it should.
Cervidae 2,389 Posted December 23, 2015 It's hard in the beginning to know exactly when to stop, because the nerves are still healing and you're simply not going to feel full exactly when you should. Just take it slow, and you'll learn eventually exactly what amounts work for you and what doesn't.
natgreen 1 Posted December 23, 2015 @@Cervidae thanks. I felt so bad after. It is a real miserable feeling. I read so much and looked at so much YouTube, I was hoping that would never happen. I guess everyone may experience it at least once with wls.
Djmohr 6,965 Posted December 23, 2015 Having WLS is really all about trial and error unfortunately. Sorry you had that experience! Things will get easier, I promise!
cocoa8utter 32 Posted December 24, 2015 I have not had that experience with vomiting, sorry to hear you had to experience this. I am two day out from surgery and still on Clear Liquids. I will be released tomorrow.
samcl1 52 Posted December 24, 2015 I'm 9 days post op and have not been able to make the 64 oz goal. I do the best I can but if I start feeling like "if I drink one more ounce, I'm going to vomit" I quit. My surgeon said he would rather I be a little dry from not drinking enough instead of from vomiting. "Avoid vomiting"...ok, I'll sure try. Lol
