ShrinkingPeach 1,291 Posted December 22, 2015 Depends on your surgical team. They should give you a copy of your plan. If you wish to know now contact them for a copy. There are as many plans as there are offices.
ladyperro2 10 Posted December 22, 2015 I was given a copy as well of everything that is required during the pre op phase. Who is your surgeon in Texas?
JamieLogical 8,710 Posted December 22, 2015 Yeah, it's going to be completely dependent upon your surgical team's requirements. Some people don't have a pre-op diet at all. Some people have a liquid only diet (protein shakes). Some people are allowed real, high Protein foods. Some people are Protein Shakes most of the time, but one Smart Ones or Lean Cuisine meal a day. The plans are really all over the place, so no one will be able to answer this question for you.

JamieLogical 8,710 Posted December 23, 2015 Your plan will probably be different, but mine was: 3 Protein shakes a day (I was provided specific nutritional guidelines for the shakes) 1 green salad with calorie free dressing (I was provided a list of veggies I could include in the salad) Unlimited sugar free Jello and Popsicles Occasionally allowed chicken broth or minestrone Soup, but not every day
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted December 23, 2015 What will i need for my liquid diet pre OP? Any help please thanks This is something you need to ask your NUT. I didn't have a liquid diet for pre-op. Mine was high Protein, low-carb (with absolutely NO starches). Each surgeon is different.
cindyw41 761 Posted December 23, 2015 Mine includes, Jello, pudding, yogurt, applesauce and veggies
aaonthego 24 Posted December 23, 2015 Besides following your specific plan , stock up on SF Popsicles. These were a lifesaver for me the first few days of the liquid diet which for me were the toughest.

DaisyAmy 561 Posted December 25, 2015 Mine was a choice of either 4+1 or 3+2 Protein Shakes to small meal combos. My meals were 4 oz of lean Protein and some non starchy vegetables. Good luck to you!
