Do You Eat Breakfast? What Do You Have?

Recommended Posts

Some say Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. They say it boosts metabolism and provides extra nutrients. It keeps you from being as hungry during the morning, so you’re better able to make healthy eating choices the rest of the day. It gives you energy to be more active. And, it can give you a good dose of that all-important nutrient – Protein.

Still, breakfast isn’t always the top priority for everyone. We may be too busy to cook, or too rushed in the morning to sit down for this meal. Or, it can just be too boring to make eggs every day, or grab a container of yogurt on the way out the door.

Do you eat breakfast every day? Did you used to, or did you start when you first started thinkg about WLS or even after? What do you usually have for breakfast, and how do you make sure you have time to prepare it every day?

Never miss it. I almost always have Greek yogurt with a few fresh berries on top, but if I'm in a real hurry, I'll grab a Protein bar and eat it in the car.

I have 3 ounces of chicken breast for my standard breakfast. No prep necessary - I buy pre-cooked chicken breast from Trader Joe's. I like either the chili lime or rosemary balsamic seasoned. Just chop up my 3 ounces, pack it into a little tupperware container, and off to work (I usually eat breakfast relatively late in the morning).

I have breakfast everyday; an egg with with turkey bacon or sausage, or 1/2 a veggie burger, sometimes I add in a cheese or an egg with cottage cheese is one of my favorites. I have tried a protien pancake but it is just too dense for me right now I can't eat it yet.

Same as many of the others....Greek Yogurt generally. On my days off I may splurge and actually "cook" and make eggs some kind of way and share those with the hubs. Or on days I just don't feel like eating I will drink a RTD Protein shake. Those are lifesavers!

Pre RNY - XL Tim Horton ' s coffee with 2 cream. (It equals to lots of cream!)

With either a bagel with cream cheese or butter, or a donut, (Or two...) or a couple of Cookies.... then at my first break (09:00) I might even go back for another donut or cookie...or two

I'd start eating/drinking this at 07:00 and pound all back by 07:30ish

UGGGHHH HOW GROSS WAS I!?!?!

Post RNY - 1 cup 2% milk with 1-2 scoops of Protein powder (depending in which kind I'm having that morning.)

This is drank between 06:30-08:00 (that's how long it takes me sometimes to drink this shake)

--then at my first break I'll sometimes have a small coffee with 1.5 cream. And never finish it. Sometimes I don't even get a coffee!

What a difference!!!!!!!!!

I've always been one to eat Breakfast every day.

Pre-op, I usually had cold Cereal... relatively healthy kinds (and with skim milk), but waaaaayyyyy too much of it. Or two pieces of toast with an ungodly amount of Peanut Butter and a huge glass of milk. Or I'd stop at McDonalds for a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel combo with a large sugary mocha.

Now, my regular breakfast is 1/2 a packet of lower-sugar oatmeal made with skim Fairlife milk, and 1/2 scoop of vanilla Protein powder stirred in, and a veggie sausage link. Once I get to work, I have a couple cups of coffee with some 2% Fairlife milk and Torani sugar-free Syrup.< /p>

If I'm off and go out to breakfast, I usually get a Denver omelet with cheese and eat 1/3-1/2 of it (and skip the toast and potatoes...well, I might have a tiny bite of potatoes if they look really crispy and delicious).

I always have had breakfast.

Before surgery I would usually have a yogurt and a giant delicious homemade muffin. chocolate chip was my favorite.

I always have breakfast now. Usually it is a premier Protein shake but occasionally I will have cream of wheat, oatmeal or I will make homemade crepes (extra eggy) with sausage. I cannot eat eggs by themselves so I sneak more of them into things like crepes. Occasionally I will have cottage cheese pancakes with a couple strawberries.

99 percent of the time I go for the shake.< /p>

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
