Hair Loss & Using Permanent Color

Recommended Posts

I didn't dye at first because I was worried about my hair falling out. It's falling out anyway.

I just colored my hair last week and haven't seen any difference at all in the amount of hair I'm losing so I will continue to color my hair.

I figure if I'm going to have to live with super thin hair for the next several months it might as well be the color I like.

Also, I use permanent not semi so it's harsher than yours.

I am a little of 5 mos post op. I do have quite a bit of Hair loss. I was a little nervous about coloring my hair yesterday, but all went well. There was no breakage at all. My stylist said it wouldn't cause more loss than I already have. Luckily he told me he could see the new hair growing back!! Hope that helps :)

No I don't think so as long as u pay attention to the health of your hair and don't pull out so much when brushing or ironing it with out a heat protect etc I took 2 Biotin a day and that made my hair back to normal

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
