I'm only 10 days out , and am allowed mushy foods now. I can eat a whole egg or 4 oz yogurt without discomfort.

Yes I ate a ¼ at a time for quite a while. Even now I only eat ½ - 1 cup of anything a time.

I'm 6 weeks out and still can only manage to eat about 2 tiny spoonful of food each meal time !!! Is this right ?

Yep. You are still right on schedule. However, please know that right now your stomach is still inflamed from the surgery. After inflammation goes down in a few months you will notice the true level of restriction and you will be able to eat more.

I was sleeved 12/08/15. If I eat more than a few bites of my puréed food, I vomit...ALOT. I can eat a whole sf Jello, a few slices of cheese, and a few select other items(I "cheated" with the cheese, as it's not on this stage but after vomiting so much, I needed something in my tummy). I called and spoke to my surgeons office and they said just eat what you can and focus on fluids.

Hi all!! I'm not hungry but the first thing I want is salad when can I eat it.. Its not hard to digest and no where I'm my paperwork does it say when I can eat salad

Roughage, like raw vegetables needs to wait until you are cleared for all foods and maybe longer.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
