What do you consider a "stall?"

Recommended Posts

Do you consider a stall when the scale stops? I see a lot of people talk about the scale stopping but their bodies continue to change through the scale stall. Do you consider a stall to be when you see the scale stop AND you stop losing inches? Just curious.

For me it's two weeks without weight loss. I don't measure myself very often so that's not really a factor for me.

I consider a stall to be no weight loss in at least one week. Stalls can last for a few weeks, or even months. I had a long stall recently that was about 2 months long. I broke it by going back to the pre-op diet and exercising more. I quickly lost 10 lbs within a week after doing so.

For me, it is strictly a scale thing - no movement (even pounds moving back and forth) for atleast 10 days or two weeks. I can fluctuate 2-3 pounds in a day or so...and also do that for a day or two. I think that caused by a multitude of thins such as eating too much salt, TOM and physical activity.

That is also why I only focus on the weight in the morning and I don't hit the "panic" button until about day 4-5 if more than 3 or so pounds seem to be hanging on. I can generally tell why... I ate too many carbs, salt, sat on the couch all weekend. Once I hit the "panic" button I get back on the WLS program to the letter and generally I recover :D

I am a scale junkie :(

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
