Try drinking Decaf coffee or tea. I found that having warm liquids would help alleviate some of that head hunger. You are going to go through some discomfort during the next couple of weeks. Hang in there....the results for me are sooooo worth it.

I just met with the nutrituinist yesterday. She said the key to the pre op diet is no sugar. So if you are starving, eat more Protein. She says better a few ounces of chicken than vegetables. And definitely no fruit.

Focus on what you CAN have and do and not what you can't.

What is allowed on your program?

Drink more Water.

Drink hot tea.

Drink an extra Protein shake if allowed.

Eat leafy green veggies if allowed.

Find something to do with your hands (knitting, crocheting, etc.)

Take a walk.

Take a nap.

Call a friend.

Write in your journal.

Write a letter.

You can do this!

If your plan allows it try sugar free Popsicles. I ate these when I was having cravings and it help. They were like a "snack". Also, increasing your Protein can help with hunger.

If you plan allows you could try an additional Protein Shake.< /p>

Hang in there you can do it!!

I used ice cube trays and made small 'popsicles' using Crystal Light drinks. Different flavors, and easy to munch on one or drop a few into the bullet and make an 'icy' of sorts.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
