My opinion is that Quest Nutrition is by far the best value and tasting Protein shakes, bars, chips, etc. I do have to say however, I am NOT a sweet tooth kinda gal, so things can taste super sweet to me. I have tried the Salty Carmel Protein Shakes, and wow - - talk about flavor. I have a hard time with drinking that on it's own...however, I can use this Protein as my coffee creamer! The chocolate Chip Cookie and Cookie Dough are awesome. I love Quest and I will be excited to use the ALL PURPOSE protein in meals. I am a 100% lover of Quest Nutrition.

P.S. The high amounts of protein DOES NOT GIVE ME "loose poop" issues like a lot of the Protein Shakes, items do.

PPSS - THE chips are awesome and can be used as a crust for chicken or string cheese sticks...yum.

I bought a sample pack of 12 bars on Amazon to try them out, I've only tried about 4 or 5 so far (what I would consider the less desirable flavors) and so far they have been kind of disappointing (and had the icky Protein flavor, I had to completely throw one out after two bites). Ill get back to you after I try more, I did like the cinnamon roll and the vanilla almond ones.

Just tried the Barbeque chips and can't believe there only 120 calories, no sugar and 20something grams of Protein. I read the reviews on these and the negative ones were from people expecting them to taste like potato chips. They don't. But the crunch and barbeque flavor is yum.

I'm still in the pureed food phase but chew these until they're pureed. Just can't "stomach" Protein shakes.

chocolate chip cookie dough - before my surgery anyways. Quest bars make me dump. I have a hard time with sugar alcohols now.

Coconut cashew here. Had my first one today. I usually can't eat more than a half a bar at a time because I feel like I'm on the verge of dumping. Coconut cashew tastes like real food, no overwhelming sweetness flavor.

My favorites are apple pie, vanilla almond and chocolate brownie. My 13 year old sons steals all my cinnamon roll and my 17 year old daughter prefers the white chocolate raspberry.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
