Hi all; I need any and all remedies for getting off a darn plateau. First I would like to ask if any of track calories and/or Protein for the day. I guess I need a little more structure meal planning wise. I am lactose intolerant so I can't do the cottage cheese/yogurt thing. When I have a Protein Drink I mix it with non-fat lactose free milk and it is quite good. I have writing down what I eat daily and can now see my trouble time is between 6pm and 8pm..I walk daily for 30 minutes, my nurse said to vary with free weights cause your body gets used to the same exercise routine and you stop losing..looking forward to your hints!

Sheila

You might also try varying your food intake....maybe liquids for a day or two, then eating the way you have been for a day or two, then changing from 3 meals to maybe 6 small meals, then from a low calorie, to a high calorie day.....just examples. Have you eliminated all the white carbs from your life? That made a huge difference in my success.

I understand about the evening "challenges"...seems to be an issue for most of us. No magic answers that I've found but I'm open to suggestions! (I do try to go to bed earlier than I used to)

Go for the FitDay...when you track everything you see EXACTLY where you are. Compare to your weight to the intake and you will see a correlation you cannot ignore. Then adjust accordingly.

Hello, I am at ther same step with you, I had my surgery oct 31, 2006. I have been at 95 lbs for over 3 monthes......i want to lose about 40 more pounds and its driving me crazy. I to walk. I walked about 3-5 miles for my first 5 monthes after surgery. Then i started bike riding, i bought a road bike and do about 25-40 miles per week, but then i found i still wasn't loosing any more weight so I started doing a boot cazmp for women run but a trainer here in town.

Okay its about 1 1/2 hour, long of what they call total muscle confusion..... we do at least 3 miles of walking and then 300 reps of different excersises. I have now been doing this once a week for about 5 weeks, starting tomorrow, i and going to be doing it 3 thimes a week for the next 6 six weeks. I am really hoping this is going to get me over this hump.

For me I had to join weight watchers again. I figured the more tools I had the better. It's working too! I was also on plateaus for very long periods of time and it's awful. Good luck ;)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
