Redvet2415 8 Posted December 16, 2015 I saw my cardiologist this morning and had my ekg done and that went good but the doctor ordered a stress test and an echocardiogram for me to do, did anyone else have to have this done and how did you do?
rking 484 Posted December 16, 2015 the exact same thing happened to me. it surprised me. i had it all done and everything was fine! i think he just wanted to make double sure because he was saying, in a letter, that i was healthy enough, heart wise, to have surgery. no worries!! AmyQwith2 23 Posted January 20, 2016 My cardiologist required it also - just had my echo and stress test done today. I honestly didn't mind - if there was an issue I'd rather know it up front. I'm a type 1 diabetic so I usually assume I will undergo more testing.
Sajijoma 1,324 Posted January 20, 2016 I didn't have anything other than an EKG. Sometimes if the EKG is a little inconclusive, they may do an echo or stress test to check to make sure you are strong and healthy enough for surgery.
